BLAKE WILLIAMS
CEO
Blake serves as CEO for Wild Basin Energy. Prior to Wild Basin, Blake was the CFO for Brigham Minerals since July 2017. He previously served as Director of Finance and Marketing for Brigham Operating. He was responsible for all aspects of corporate finance, including capital budgeting, financial analysis and acquisition evaluation, as well as midstream strategy and marketing. From 2008 to 2012, He was a natural gas trader and scheduler at Vega Energy, an asset management and consulting firm that works with customers in the natural gas distribution and storage sectors. Mr. Williams earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
JACOB SEXTON
CFO
Jacob serves as CFO for Wild Basin Energy. Prior to Wild Basin, Jacob was Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Finance for Brigham Minerals. After joining Brigham in late 2017, he held positions of increasing responsibility and led investor relations as primary contact for research analyst and investors. Prior to Brigham, Jacob was a corporate finance associate at Rice Energy until their acquisition by EQT and began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Simmons and Company in Houston. Jacob earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a Masters of Science in Finance from Texas A&M University. Jacob enjoys being active outdoors with his family and two bird dogs. He and his wife are active members of their church and local community.
BRAD BURRIS
EVP of Land and Business Development
Brad Burris serves as EVP of Land and Business Development for Wild Basin Energy. Prior to Wild Basin, Brad was VP of Land for Brigham Minerals, where he held positions of increasing responsibility since September of 2016. At Brigham, he managed and oversaw all land functions and reviewed and approved title for mineral and royalty deals totaling approximately $1B and roughly 68,000 NRA over a six-year period. Prior to Brigham, Brad was a Senior Landman at Hilcorp Energy Company where he was a critical player in Hilcorp’s $3.5B Eagle Ford divestiture as well as acquired hundreds of miles of Eagle Ford rights-of-way. He began his career as a Land Negotiator at BP America Production Company in Houston, Texas. Brad is a member of the Texas State Bar and earned his Juris Doctorate from The University of Texas School of Law. Prior to law school, Brad earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, cum laude, with a minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. Brad enjoys camping with his family, hiking, and playing disc golf.
DEBBIE BRANDES
VP of Reservoir Engineering
Debbie serves as VP of Reservoir Engineering for Wild Basin Energy. Prior to Wild Basin, Debbie was a Reservoir Engineer with Brigham Minerals starting in 2013. Her responsibilities included acquisition evaluations, reserves, and accruals for their growing portfolio across the Williston, Anadarko, DJ, Delaware, and Midland Basins. She also worked for ATX Energy Partners as a Senior Reservoir Engineer on acquisitions in the Powder River, DJ and Permian basins as well as regulatory and reserves activities for their Powder River position. Debbie began her career as a reservoir and production engineer for BP working the Prudhoe Bay asset.
Debbie enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, volunteering and she and her family are active in their church community. Debbie holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and an MS in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
WILL WARREN
VP Geology
Will serves as VP Geology for Wild Basin Energy. Prior to Wild Basin, Will worked as Senior Geologist for Brigham Minerals with a focus on the Delaware and Williston basins. At Brigham, Will worked with an acquisition team evaluating 750+ mineral and royalty deals, ultimately acquiring ~20,000 net royalty acres with $350MM+ of capital deployed. Prior to Brigham, Will worked as a Geologist for Petro Harvester in Dallas and began his career with Halliburton Energy Services as a Field Engineer in east Texas. Will holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Science in Integrated Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen, and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University. In his spare time, Will enjoys fishing on the Texas coast with his wife Holly and is an active member of the Austin chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association.
